MA:  Alright, what year did you start and end high school? BR:  I started high school in 1992 and I went all 4 years in El Camino graduating in 1996. MA:  What was your first impression of El Camino? BR:  My first impression was everyone was bigger —  bigger than me and they all had facial hair. MA : What is one word to describe your high school experience at El Camino and why? BR:  Um, it's kind of a negative word, but it was that it was easy. I felt that easy is not necessarily a good thing because I should've challenged myself more, participating in more extracurricular activities. Not just getting good grades, but also getting to know people out of your comfort circle and also doing things such as more volunteering and participating in more sports. MA : ...

Interviewer: That's funny Interviewer: Where did you grow up? Cosico: I grew up in Daly City, up until I was 16, then I moved to south sid- ..south city Interviewer: Where did you graduate from college? Cosico: College, I got my um.. Associate's degree at Skyline, junior college. Then, I transferred over and got my Bachelor of Science degree at San Francisco State, kinesiology major and then I followed up with my teaching credential at State as well. Interviewer: What do you like to do outside of work? Do you have any hobbies or interests? Cosico: Um, outside of work, I got four small kids. I like spending time with the kids and family and then my son started getting involved in like..basketball and other sports, so I like bringing him and watching him play. Kayleen: I think I'll enjoy the entertainment that this year will offer. I won't enjoy staying up late to do homework. Interviewer: What has been your best experience so far? Kayleen: Getting to know, mostly, everyone and experiencing homecoming. Interviewer: What is your favorite subject and why? Kayleen: Chemistry or science in general because doing labs, with elements, is exciting. Interviewer:  What do you enjoy doing out of school? Kayleen: Trying new places with good food. Interviewer:  Describe your high school experience in one word. Kayleen: Different.

JO: Oh you know, my best experience would be Homecoming. HO: Why? JO: Like getting to perform in front of everyone in a non serious manner was really fun to me, I guess. And I made some friends too! JO: Weird because the people that I hung out with were so random, like one day they'll be cool and then another day they'd just start acting weird with me sometimes. Resendiz:  When I was in high school, I really liked to go and visit my counselor and so I thought after a while, I was like, "That would be a really fun job". That was my first inspiration, and then I got to work in a middle school and I absolutely fell in love. Interviewer:  What do you like best working at El Camino? Resendiz:  The students. They're gems. Interviewer:  What have you learned from your students? Resendiz:  I learned a lot about being patient, letting them make their choices, and being here to listen to them. But yea, just a lot of patience and a lot of humor! Interviewer:  How is your personal life influenced by your work? Resendiz:  My personal life is influenced by youth. Lots of relationship transitions. Interviewer: Throughout the four years which would you have to say was the best year for you, and why? Gian: Senior year would have to be the best. I was in a musical, the mascot, did the morning announcements, was in leadership, designed all class apparel, homecoming king, and at this point I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Interviewer: What year did you find most stressful, and why? Gian:  Sophomore year, because I took English honors and AP World History when I wasn't really that smart.
