Alumni: Gian Montes

Interviewer: Adam Chan
Interviewee: Gian Montes

Interviewer: How would you describe your freshman year in High School?
Gian: I was in the transitioning from one group of friends to another. Lots of relationship transitions.

Interviewer: Throughout the four years which would you have to say was the best year for you, and why?
Gian: Senior year would have to be the best. I was in a musical, the mascot, did the morning announcements, was in leadership, designed all class apparel, homecoming king, and at this point I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Interviewer: What year did you find most stressful, and why?
Gian: Sophomore year, because I took English honors and AP World History when I wasn't really that smart. I failed English, and this was the first  time I joined leadership.

Interviewer: Who were the most influential teachers throughout high school?
Gian: Ms. Perruse because she was like a mother figure to me. Secondly, Ms. Diehl because she helped me lose 30 pounds. Lastly, Mr. Padilla aside from family he's one of the biggest supporters of my design career.

Interviewer: Do you think high school changed you for the better?
Gian: Yes, because it brought me out of my comfort zone. For example, I did theater, leadership, and I built my core friend group.

Interviewer: Do you have a phrase or quote that you used all through high school?
Gian: I didn't have a phrase or quote but I did have an album, it was Frank Ocean Channel Orange. It is the greatest album ever produced. If you disagree you can contact my twitter @giancakes.
