Interviewer: Why did you choose to work in the education field?
Resendiz: When I was in high school, I really liked to go and visit my counselor and so I thought after a while, I was like, "That would be a really fun job". That was my first inspiration, and then I got to work in a middle school and I absolutely fell in love.

Interviewer: What do you like best working at El Camino?
Resendiz: The students. They're gems.

Interviewer: What have you learned from your students?
Resendiz: I learned a lot about being patient, letting them make their choices, and being here to listen to them. But yea, just a lot of patience and a lot of humor!

Interviewer: How is your personal life influenced by your work?
Resendiz: My personal life is influenced by youth. When I am around any youth, automatically I have questions and want to get to know them even if they are not one of my students. I always definitely feel connected to students regardless if they are my students or not.

Interviewer: What do you like to do outside of work? Do you have any hobbies or interests?
Resendiz: So I have a lot of random, different hobbies, but the one I'm working on right now is my friend is going to get married and I am doing the flowers for his wedding, so I am flying out to Idaho. I also officiate weddings and a lot of wedding stuff, so it's like a side fun thing I like to do.
